Describing Diverse People

Multiracial/multi-ethnic people, as a community, embody diversity. Even people within the same family and with the same racial/ethnic mix may identify differently from each other. It is, therefore, difficult to make generalizations. An issue pertinent to one person of mixed heritage will not necessarily have the same impact on the life of another. Further complicating matters, the identity a person chooses shifts in different contexts, depending on numerous other factors and influences.
